Stampin Up Halloween decor Element Pumpkins & Jewels

October 7th, 2010 , 2 Comments »

Stampin Up featured this great pumpkin idea at convention 2010 and I knew I just HAD to make them.  I CASE’d a bunch of the different pumpkins and this is what I made up.  Of course our new house doesn’t have an entry table for the curved wall so the pumpkins found a home on the steps.  THey were SO easy to create, and they will last for years.

I bought the pumpkins at Michael’s this past week and they are 50% off.  All three pumpkins were like $16.  You need the medium and one small.  I was a little confused originally and thought I needed the larger ones.

Next you have to use Stampin Up’s awesome Decor Elements called Spooky Things.  They are on page 8 of the 2010 Holiday Mini Catalog.  You get this set plus bats, spiders, happy halloween, and a crow on the sheet.  Basically everything you will need for your holiday crafting for $14.95 … now that’s a deal!!  I cased the darling spider and had to add him to the little pumpkin too!  Isn’t he great!

Lastly, I used the new Stampin Up designer jewels called Black Flourish.  They are $4.95 for a sheet of swirls and straights.  I originally ordered 2 packs cuz…well they are cheap!  Anyhow, I wanted beautiful but not over done.  I really then decided that for most people I should try and get this project down to one sheet.  So, without the swirl to the left of the T on treat I used only one pack!!  This included the jewels added to the body and front legs of the spider.  I had some of the straight lines left that I could have used for him but liked him with just the front done!

Lastly, I just made some bows using the new 1/"lace trim called Raven (also on page 8 of the mini) and made some bows.  used a couple glue dots and tacked them down.  SO CUTE!!

It’s not to late to still make this for your Happy Halloween!  Order online 24/7

Happy Halloween Creating!

Stampin Up MDS masculine birthday card

October 6th, 2010 , 2 Comments »

Before I start with the specifics of this card, don’t forget the AWESOME clearance rack SALE!!  Great deals and you receive Stampin Bug Rewards too!

I LOVE the new Elegant Soiree paper available in the catalog AND as a digital download!  Don’t have Stampin Up’s My Digital Studio…no worries!  You can still download this gorgeous paper and use it in photoshop etc for digital scrapbooking & cards!!

I decided that this morning I would take a layout sketch from the web and create a card based on that.  Once I had the base paper layed out then I just went through my collection of stamps (without the usual mess!!) I wanted a fun birthday card for my dad and love the one candle birthday cupcake!  I wanted to ‘color’ the candle but it looked plain on it’s own, so…I backed it with another ‘stamped’ candle in a different color!  I think it looks great.  Lastly, I LOVE that the brads in MDS come in so many different colors.  Stampin Up’s My digital Studio is an awesome program and very user friendly.

Stampin Up MDS remake

October 4th, 2010 , No Comments »

Ok when I went back to My Digital studio, I thought I should fiddle with my card some.  I changed the background from Old Olive to Baja Breeze, and took out the scallop circle.  I love the simpleness of this card!  I could never have made these changes with a paper card but it was as easy as 3 clicks in Stampin Up’s My digital Studio!

Stampin Up Digital Friendship Card Mojo159

October 4th, 2010 , No Comments »

Yeah! We are finally moved in and my stampin stuff is unpacked!   We are in Northern Colorado Springs, Monument, Gleneagle, Sunhills area shoot me an email if you would like to hold a creative night out with your friends, or a Stampin up coffee and crafts during the day!

Part of my attempt at keeping this blog UTD is participating in the different sketches available during the week.  I have wanted to do the Mojo Monday ones forever.  Anyhow, since I haven’t found the right spot for m stampin stuff yet, I decided I could do the sketches digital for awhile!

I didn’t really have a card in mind, I jsut went through the stamps and colors and played around a bit.  I actually started this card with PINK PIROUTTE!  That’s what I Love, Love, Love about Stampin Ups my digital Studio, you can switch out the colors in a sec and NO waste!!  This was made using the Simple Friendship Stamp set which also available in the catalog page 108,  or comes free (i believe) with My Digital Studio.

if I was crafting this in person, I would do everything on paper EXCEPT I would still print out the scallop circle and friends as I could never get it to look like this with stamping.  In all reality, I would have to stamp the friends in whisper white first to get this brightness, and their is no way I could go back and restamp for the blue.  So yes keep you proportions exact in MDS, print out at home and then punch with the scallop circle punch.  Add it with dimensionals to your card!!

Order MDS using the button top right and receive a download free!

Stampin Up MDS little Girl Birthday Card

my digital studio birthday card

Yeah! We are finally moved in and my stampin stuff is unpacked!   We are in Northern Colorado Springs, Monument, Gleneagle, Sunhills area shoot me an email if you would like to hold a creative night out with your friends, or a Stampin up coffee and crafts during the day!

I LOVE Stampin Up’s My Digital Studio ~ it is a fabulous computer program for Mac or PC which allows you to create cards on your computer and either print at home, or through Stampin Up.  It comes with TONS of Stampin Up stamp sets, punches, embellishments, and of course the cardstock, paper etc.

I made this card in about 10 minutes as I was waiting for the kids to find their shoes:0)  I just love this pattern paper and used it for the base, and then built the card around it.  For the stamps their is a little eyedropper tool on the right which will match any color of the card and that was how I determined what color to make the cupcake topper and hearts on the candles.

I LOVE two other things about MDS

1 ~ I was able to add the heart flames using the small heart punch and then manipulating them small and turning them.  In ‘real’ life I could never have added this perfect effect.

2 ~ You can create an awesome card in the time it would normally take to jsut find your supplies and get them to a crafting table.  Better yet…NO MESS!

Now I will be first to tell you that I am very tactile and love to touh and feel my projects, that is why my favorite is hybrid cards.  I can not tell you how many times I have used Stampin Up’s My Digital Studio to either create an embellishment for my scrapbook, the base to a card but then add the extra touches using paper.  I love to see people studying the cards trying to figure out what elements are really there!

Stampin Up Snowman Christmas Card with Fabric!!

Stampin Up Snowman Christmas card

Yeah! We are finally moved in and my stampin stuff is unpacked!   We are in Northern Colorado Springs, Monument, Gleneagle, Sunhills area shoot me an email if you would like to hold a creative night out with your friends, or a Stampin up coffee and crafts during the day!

I just LOVE the new items from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini!  I made this card for a swap with my upline.  Isn’t the snowman so cute!  I used the new Stampin Up 2 1/2 in circle punch which is the PERFECT size!  His mouth and nose were made using the Stampin up PLAYFUL PIECES stamp set (Stampin up level 3 hostess set)  Have an online catalog party and you could definately earn this awesome set plus other great freebies.

THe polkadot paper is just spectacular ~ it’s the new Candy Cane Christmas Stampin Up DSP (120809).  This paper is SO versatile and the best part ~ the red is glittery!!  Yep just gorgeous in person!

Lastly, is the snowman’s bowtie.  This was SO EASY!  I used the coordinating fabric (brilliant) Stampin Up Candy Cane Christmas (121715) and ran it through the Sizzix using the Stampin Up exclusive Tasteful Trim Sizzix Die (120893)  I just cut a thin strip of fabric and ran it through the sizzix then I used both the trim and salvage, folded a few pieces back and forth , gave it a twist and stuck it on the card!  I told you it was easy.  It gives it the best shabby look which is so hard for me to get!

Check back tomorrow for an alternate look to this card!

Stampin Up Burp Cloth ~ Sizzix & Ribbon

July 29th, 2010 , No Comments »

I have been neglecting my blog :0(  I will be posting pictures of past projects (most will have now retired stampin up items sorry)  over the enxt few weeks until we get moved into our new room and I can start creating with the NEW stampin up colors ~ love them.

This AWESOME baby burp cloth was so fun to make and way to easy!  I jsut love the quality of Stampin Up products!  I sewed the ribbon down the crease on each side of the cloth diapers. By heating the ribbon on each end you will be sure that it doesn’t fray!  I added an iron on adhesive to my fabric first and then ran it through the sizzix.  Peeled the paper of the back and ironed it onto my burp cloth!  I did sew the button onto the center for safety reasons!  The butterfly used a glitter tulle sewn down the center!  Super easy and any mom would be thrilled!

This is a great time for a catalog party at your house or with coworkers ~ hostesses receive an additional $25 incentive for orders over $350!  I would love to come hold a free class at your home (or mine once we move in) and show you how easy and simple this is to make!

 Have a Stampertistic Day!

Stampin Up Sizzix Baby Onesie

This is a darling baby onesie which was super easy to create fabric, sizzix, and iron on adhesive.  I ironed on the backing first to the fabric, ran everything through the sizzix and then ironed it onto the prewashed onesie.  Adding some ribbon to the sleeves for a more girly look!
