Welcome!

I am so glad you have checked in on The Stampin Bug!  I love to craft and have such a varying background that I hope I inspire you to find your own creative side.  As you will see by the varying posts, I dabble in cards, scrapbooking, quilting, fabrics, and photography.  Almost all of these are using items by my favorite company ~ Stampin’ Up!

I became an Independent demonstrator for Stampin’ Up! several years ago for one main reason ~ REDS!  I spent a fortune in time and money trying to do my daughter’s scrpbooking page.  For a baby born on Valentine’s Day red is a must!  Before Stampin’ Up! nothing ever matched, to orangey, to pink, just to off.  When a friend introduced me to Stampin’ Up! I was hooked for life.  I can honestly say that it is the only paper, ink and markers I will work with.  In addition, Stampin’ Up’s partnership with Sizzix has really opened doors.  I use the sizzix dies for everything from paper to fabric!  I hope that you will continue to check out this blog for inspiration & instructions.

A little bit about me, I am the mother of three children ages 12, 9, and 5.  Our littlest one was born with a very rare form of dwarfism.  Although they are all our treasure on earth, he is my inspiration everyday!  In addition, we are in the process of adopting two little ones from China.  Our newest daughter also has dwarfism, and our littlest guy has a major limb difference which will require pretty major surgery when he gets home.  Please pray for this whole process we have begun.  We should travel for them around Christmas 2011.

If you are a mom and either are just looking for a discount on Stampin Up or to work from home bringing in extra income I would love to help.  I started with Stampin Up as a hobbyist, and spent many years getting the discount and using Stampin Up’s amazing resources.

I am the true creative type, and he tries to help keep me on track & organized.  He is the inspiration for this blog.  I told him for years that I wanted a convertible Bug before I turned 40.  He surprised me with the ‘Bee" a few years early!

Please enjoy the ride, it should take us to great places.
