Welcome back for set number 2 of the boards. I loved that Stmapin Up placed the cards in color order so it was actually easy to find what I had submitted for the Artisan award (once I remembered all the products!) It was fun to see EVERYTHING but 1 – the darling teapot set which I fear bit the dust. So…with over 700 pics here is the order I will be posting items over the next few weeks including the 2011 Stampin Up Artisan Award winners, the 2011 Stampin Up convention board samples, the swap winners, my artisan award submissions, Stampin Up samples and no worries
If you came to find out about how my Goofy, 3×3 and apple hybrid swaps were made I will post those probably next week
So without further notes here are the boards – once again please leave a note if you see one of your submission!

YEAH! I just figured out how to add a gallery. So click the pics below and it will transfer to a slightly bigger image BUT click that image and it will take you to a full size image. Hopefully this will give you a better look at these awesome Stampin Up Convention Boards!!

Ok I have been MIA, and have posted NADA, zilch nothing in months!! Sorry! We are in the process of adopting not one but TWO little ones from China – both with special needs. ANyhow, the paperwork is a NIGHTMARE! I felt my first priority was to get everything done on my end so I can get them home ASAP. Our youngest little guy desparately needs medical attention.
Anyhow, we were thrilled to finally send all of our paperwork off to China on July 8th!! Now, our wait for two governments to approve everything begins. Prayers are always welcome.
Now, on to what you were waiting for!! I remember last year I searched blogs for pictures of the boards. I took as many as possible an believe I got everything. I have over 500 pics on jsut one camera so please check back frequently for more pictures.

Ok I think that is it right now. We had so much fun, and I will posting more pictures tomorrow, or the 2011 SU convention boards including the Artisan Award winners, and the samples provided by Stampin Up!! Please leave me a comment if you see one of your cards on the boards. It is always so fun to see what everyone creates!! Also I will try an email full size pics of particular boards to picture owners!!
Stampin Up MDS hybrid Flower card
March 1st, 2011 , 2 Comments »
Hi
I have to be THE WORST blogger! Sorry we have been so busy with school, birthdays and developing and presenting a my digital studio class (well 3 actually). Anyhow, I have been creating and so I will post over the next few days so stay tuned.
Sorry, bad picture, I will take somemore and repost in a little bit, this is vibrant and beautiful! I participated in a flower card swap and this is one of two different cards I made for the swap. I will post the cute recipe card I made to go with it in a sec. Let me tell you how I made the background paper. I created a page in My Digital studio using the square punch to create strips then dressed them up with different stitching. Once this was made, I jsut switch out the paper for the occasion I need. I used the ice cream parlor paper (can I jsut say that I am in LVOE with this paper!) Once I printed it out on – horrors – plain copy paper, I cut it into 1/4 and ran it through the sizzix. LVOE this background technique!!
You already know I LVOE MDS but when I make up swaps I love it even more. Does the first element I create in MDS take longer than for paper – probably, but then I jsut copy and print, and print, and print! What an awesome time saver!!
I also created the card recipe in MDS – it’s cute and I was able to make all of the duplicates I need for the swap!

Dont’ forget, now is the time to buy mDS if you don’t have it. You receive the awesome ice cream parlor paper, elements etc (everything from the sell-a-bration catalog FREE when you order NOW!

Mojo176 – My digital studio elegant soiree
February 3rd, 2011 , No Comments »

I thought I would play along with the Mojo 176 sketch. I just learned how to make the curvy line in Stampin Up’s MDS (my digital studio) so I decided to use MDS for the challenge. Besides, gotta love the fact that you can use a whole box of antique brads (aren’t they awesome) without weighing down the card so much you could use it for a workout weight. Lastly, though it’s two dang cold in the basement ( I know loser!)

ANyhow, the way to make the MDS curvy lines is by using circles that are greatly enlarged. The smaller part (in crumb cake) is a rectangle which is layered behind everything else. No easy trick on getting the paper to line up rather than inch by inch. That was the hardest part. Then I just added the brads with pretty high drop shadows. THe rest is pretty easy but please ask if you have questions. Also let me know if you look at it an say – that really could use ____ so make it awesome. Cards are my hardest and I am vowing to make them better!
If you don’t have MDS yet, NOW is the time to order. It’s a fabulous program and with sellabration you also will get the free sellabration CD which inclused EVERYTHING from the sellabration catalog FREE!! Order using my shop button and I will send you a get started MDS guide FREE! Spend jsut a little more and get 2 free items from the sellabration catalog.

Stampin Up owl punch – my digital Studio valentine
February 2nd, 2011 , No Comments »

Brrr it has been so cold here, they even closed school fro the past two days so we have been making Valentine’s for the kids! This is for my little preschooler who is sure that BOYS don’t use red hearts – well red at all!
This was all made using the digital scrapbooking program from stampin up – My Digital Studio. I jsut LOVE this owl punch and I just had to jazz it up a little to look my sweet little angel! THe beanie cap was made using the circle punch and celebrations paper. i erased the bottom part of the circle using the owl vest turned upside down. Don’t you LOVE the tie! It’s part of the calendar kit stamp set! We will print these (6 to a page) and add them to fun little treat boxes once we can leave the house and go shopping!

Stampin Up’s My Digital Studio ~ Guest Blogger
December 9th, 2010 , 3 Comments »

I felt so honored to be asked to be a guest blogger for Stampin up! Their website www.MyDigitalStudio.net is open to EVERYONE! Crafters and Stampin up demonstrators share tips, projects etc on this site. It is also great for inspiration. You can browse the samples by pages or cards and see what catches your eye as well as how people have used different elements.
Stampin Up even has an incredible disk deal available during saleabration with tons of FREE downloads! This is the end of January through March so keep it in the back of you mind!
When asked to write the blogpost, I went through my pictures and realized i hadn’t scrapbooked the kids last Christmas! I thought that this would give me the perfect theme and this layout resulted in lots of layers etc. The blogpost has wonderful information on layer and the rule of thumb I use for dropshadows etc. Found here:

Cute Candy Cane Christmas Gift Set
December 8th, 2010 , No Comments »

I absolutely LOVE how this set came out. Even better, it was so easy! Don’t you love the hurricane candle holder ~ a steal at less than $4 from World Market but Wlamart also had a ton of glass jars etc. It fit the candy cane lane decor elements perfectly. The tree was so easy to put on except the very bottom, just a little massaging over the curves helped and a button to hide the flaw!! I used the FABULOUS candy cane lane buttons and linen thread for accent. They were stuck on using the glue dots from stampin up. This sat for a week (yes can you believe I made it more than the night before!!) and not one dropped off! The bow was just a section of the candy cane lane fabric cut into a strip and folded, tied with the linen thread and put on with a glue dot!

This was my first time doing the candles and they are SO EASY!! Worst part is I had to run to the store for wax paper (only parchment here!) I stamped the ornaments in black staz-on ink onto white tissue paper. I colored the ornaments in using our regular markers. Make sure the tissue paper is backed as the color will bleed through onto your table etc. I cut the tissue paper a little larger than the ornaments, and the circumference of the candle. I did the same for the wax paper. I actually cut it with the paper trimmer. I wrapped the tissue paper around the top of the candle tightly, then covered this with the wax paper. I held these with one hand and heated it with the other using stampin up’s heat tool. You can see the tissue paper go transparent, but don’t let the wax from the wax paper start to bead up. It really is simple! Then peel the wax paper off and you are set!

I finished the set off with a trivet. I made this by folding the candy cane fabric before running it through the scallop square die. This gave me the perfect sized square. I did this to 2 pieces of fabric and 2 pieces of felt. Then sewed them all together and viola! So easy, so cute, and the perfect accent to this set!

I just LOVE the candy cane lane decor elements! They are the deal of the century ~ you get all of the designs above on one sheet for less than $15!! Now remember how big the project above is using the tree! THe little birdies fit perfectly on coffee cups. THere is still plenty of time to order before the holidays!

The background is the new vintage overlays ~ I thought it gave a dreamy look. THe scallops are just spaced evenly but made it look almost 3 dimensional. These do NOT have a dropshadow. I loved the yellow polka dot paper that comes with the mini project boxes. The shoes are ovals & heart with dropshadow. The crown is from extreme elements and I decreased the opacity some.
Have a great one!
Stampin Up Design-a-house Princess Castle
November 3rd, 2010 , 3 Comments »

Stampin up is having a FUN Disney Princess contest to celebrate their annual incentive trip this year to Disney World!! I jsut LOVE all of the specials they run for demonstrators, regardless whether you are a hobbyist, or a full time demo! The contest asked us to create something celebrating our favorite princess, since I LOVE all of the Disney princess’s and my favorite image of Disney is the castle I decided that was what I would make!
I began new Design-a-house available in the holiday mini for . . . $5.95 (What an awesome price!!) The Stampin Up Design-a-house comes with guides, instructions and of course the house made of a nice weight cardboard. I covered the house part in pretty in pink cardstock using the tombow glue ~ my fav! I used the swirl stamp from Baroque Motifs and champagne mist shimmer paint to cover the cardstock.
THe roof was made using bashful blue and using the swirl stamp from the Season of Joy and the same champagne mist shimmer paint decorated the roof.
The towers would have been WAY easier if I hadn’t used my whole stash of paper towel rolls for brownies LOL! Instead I jsut made them from paper and used tombow to secure them. The tops are the large scallop circle punch slit up one side to the center. The flags are the new Crochet trim – chantilly which I love!
It is hard to tell but the windows are covered on the inside with vellum, and this is what I stamped my little princess on with stazon ink and colored with the Stampin Up markers!
The door and upper window is beautiful in person with dazzling diamonds, and glimmer brads. Lastly, the trim was made using the darling pinking hearts border punch. I used whisper white paper and dabbed more champagne mist on the paper to give it the golden tone.
Hope you have fun designing your own home!
