Stampin Up Burp Cloth ~ Sizzix & Ribbon

July 29th, 2010 , No Comments »

I have been neglecting my blog :0(  I will be posting pictures of past projects (most will have now retired stampin up items sorry)  over the enxt few weeks until we get moved into our new room and I can start creating with the NEW stampin up colors ~ love them.

This AWESOME baby burp cloth was so fun to make and way to easy!  I jsut love the quality of Stampin Up products!  I sewed the ribbon down the crease on each side of the cloth diapers. By heating the ribbon on each end you will be sure that it doesn’t fray!  I added an iron on adhesive to my fabric first and then ran it through the sizzix.  Peeled the paper of the back and ironed it onto my burp cloth!  I did sew the button onto the center for safety reasons!  The butterfly used a glitter tulle sewn down the center!  Super easy and any mom would be thrilled!

This is a great time for a catalog party at your house or with coworkers ~ hostesses receive an additional $25 incentive for orders over $350!  I would love to come hold a free class at your home (or mine once we move in) and show you how easy and simple this is to make!

 Have a Stampertistic Day!

Stampin Up Sizzix Baby Onesie

This is a darling baby onesie which was super easy to create fabric, sizzix, and iron on adhesive.  I ironed on the backing first to the fabric, ran everything through the sizzix and then ironed it onto the prewashed onesie.  Adding some ribbon to the sleeves for a more girly look!

Stampin Up Sizzix Fabric Flowers assortment

February 2nd, 2010 , 2 Comments »

Heehee did I mention how addicting these little flowers can be!  I think this shows a pretty good representation of the different flowers that can be made.   Each uses the fabric flowers sizzix die from Stampin Up or the scallop circle sizzix die from stampin up.  By using different fabrics and accents you receive completely different looks.  I love how beautiful the Stampin Up buttons ae when they are featured by themselves like on the all scallop flower.  The second flower down features the buttons that come in theme packs.  I snipped the back off and hot glue gunned them on.

I will be adding directions hopefully tomorrow but please leave a comment if there is a particular flower that needs more explanation.

Stampin Up sizzix fabric rag quilt Purse

February 1st, 2010 , 1 Comment »

Here is the darling  purse I made using the scallop square  (115950) sizzix die form Stampin Up.  It makes rag quilting a dream.  I cut three different patterns of this gorgeous decorator fabric.  With the sizzix dies you can cut EIGHT layers of fabric at one time.  It also cuts throught  batting (used as the filling for each fabric sandwich) just as easily.  THen follow the directions for rag quilting, making a 3 across 2 down purse.  It makes such a great size.

The darling fabric flower was made using the Flower Bigz sizzix die (114534) from Stampin Up.  I again made a fabric, batting, fabric sandwich and sewed around the edges.  I made two of these flowers, and topped it with a small scallop circle cut from the Scallop Circle #2 Sizzix die from Stampin Up.  THs time I sewed a circle in the center.  Lastly, I used the crop-a-dile (108362) from Stampin Up to punch a hole into all layers.  I used the TDF 1/2" Soft Suede dot grosgrain ribbon (115612) as a fun accent.

This really is a very easy bag to make and if you can sew a straight line, you can make these.

Please let me know if you need more explicit directions.

Stampin Up Fabric FLowers

January 30th, 2010 , 3 Comments »

I am finally back!! Sorry, for the absence, holidays and illness were a killer.  On to the show!

I LOVE fabric and the Stampin Up Sizzix dies make it so fun and EASY!!  I will be posting a lot of different sewing and fabric  ideas over the next few weeks.  Please let me know if I need to post directions or more explicit information.

I made these flowers using 4 diffferent fabric prints and used the 3 smaller flowers from the Stampin Up sizzix Flower Folds Bigz XL DIe (115970).  If you have not cut fabric with the sizzix dies you will be in LOVE!!  It slices through EIGHT layers of fabric like butter!

After putting together the largest bundle, I included a layer of tulle cut out using the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die (113469) using the largest scallop circle.  I then added the next two sizes and finished off with the smaller scallop circle.  I use our fabulous Tombow adhesive (110755) to keep my layers together.  Lastly, I used the crop-a-dile (108362) to punch through all layers.   I added our NEW Pretty in Pink 1/2" sending love epoxy brads (117271).  They are in the new mini, and although they photograph a little off from the fabric they look wonderul in person.

The top picture is the flower used pin and the last is using a hairclippy attached to a premade headband.

Have a wonderful day and check back for more designs!

My Digital Studio Christmas Card 2009

November 24th, 2009 , No Comments »

Everytime I do a new project using My Digital Studio (MDS) from Stampin’ Up I am blown away!!  I started playing around this morning realizing we are almost a week away from Christmas.  I had taken the kids photos in July while were on Cape Cod, but really was having a hard time with such a summer scene.  Being from Colorado our normal pictures usually involve snow.

Anyhow, I saw a similar design available in the MDS designer cards but it was only available as a horizontal 5×7 card.  I printed out a copy of that card to have at my side and began creating a blank card.  It was SOOO EASY!!  Stack, Stack, Stack, Resize, drop shadow & your almost done!  Best of all is that I can send out the number I need.  Before MDS was available it would have cost a fortune purchasing a NEW Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin Kit for every two cards!!

As a certified MDS consultant I am happy to help you design your very own card!  Also you can receive MDS 1/2 off with a $400 order.  Get your friends together or email me for a catalog show.

Stampin’ Up! has some fantastic deals right now with their ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA. In addition, you qualify for the $10 item from the mini for a $250 order.  See on the right my special for Novemeber.  Free merchandise will be shipped seperately, once you email me your items of choice.

Stampin’ Up Ornament Punch Card

November 14th, 2009 , No Comments »

I LOVE the Ornament Punch, and the unique way that this punch can be used for so many different images.  I made this card by using champagne mist shimmer paint on the background stamp from the Charming stamp set.  You can definately see why this is one of Shelli’s favorites!  I punched 4 of the ornament punches and layered them in a circle finishing them with a jumbo eyelet.

STAMPIN BUG TIP ~

I colored the twill tape with the champagne mist shimmer paint so that it went well with this beautiful card.

Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (116806)

Charming Stamp Set (116519)

Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP (116770)
